Presidents Day Celebrations!
2nd grade students had the opportunity to research and a complete a project about a president and their accomplishments from their time in office. On Thursday, February 23rd, students dressed the part and amazed everyone with their president facts!
Primary students at Dawes celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by participating in Read Across America Day. Read Across America Day promotes literacy and encourages a love of reading. Students picked a favorite book to read and celebrate how far they've come as readers!
Teachers and students integrate their learning with the arts. Each month a grade level showcases the integration between the arts and reading or math. This month the 3rd grade students combined the arts and math with this project.
