Note from Mrs. Kirkwold

Lincoln Families,

Thank you so much for joining us for conferences last week! It is so important to your child’s success to have a strong partnership with you, and we appreciate you taking the time to meet with our teachers. It was also wonderful to see so many of you back in the building! If for some reason you weren’t able to secure a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher to coordinate something.

As we speed into December, our teachers are busy planning fun activities with their students to celebrate all the fun things that come with the winter months. Below you’ll find some winter holiday-themed dress-up days all our students can choose to participate in if they wish. Your child’s teacher will let you know very soon whether they need help from volunteers or some extra supply donations, and whether any of the upcoming events are for parents to attend. We have a few activities planned that are really just meant for our school staff and students, so please don’t worry that you’ve missed something if you hear your child talking about a sing-a-long or other seasonal event. If ever in doubt, please just give us a call and we’d be happy to clarify!

Students at Lincoln are working hard this month to earn winter-blue Dutch Dollars as they show safe, respectful, and responsible behavior. These Dutch Dollars are collected for our usual Friday drawing, but this month they are also being pooled together to earn the whole school a special celebration the last day before winter break! We know they can do it, because our Lincoln students are the safest, most respectful and responsible students around! Feel free to check in with your child throughout the month to see how they personally are doing to help the school reach this goal.

Looking forward to a fun month with our wonderful Lincoln students!

In partnership,

-Mrs. Kirkwold
