The Excretory System
By: Rebekah Swyers
What it does
The Excretory system- Removes waste form body
The major organs:
- Kidneys
- Skin
- Liver
- Lungs
- Large intestine
- Urinary system
Levels of organization
The levels of organization in order are:
Cell-Tissue-organs-organs system-organism
levels odf organisation of the kidney
Kidney cell
This is a animal cell that can be found in the kidney. These Cells are what makes the kidney be able to do its job.
Kidney tissue
This is the tissue that makes up the organ. The tissue is made up of cells that are closely bonded together.
Kidney
The kidneys in our bodies are located below our rib cage and on each side of our spine. Our kidneys take in blood and then sift through it take out things like extra water and waste. Then they send it off to another organ to dispose of it.
Excretory system
The Excretory system is the part of your body that removes waste and excess materials from your body.
Organism
Our liver helps keep our blood clean and uninfected. It allows us to go on with our day to day lives. And live as healthy as we can.
Homeostasis
The excretory system helps homeostasis by removing waste that our bodies do not need. This in turn helps keep internal chemical homeostasis. The digestive system works with the excretory system by getting and absorbing nurturance. Then the excretory system take the waste produced from the digestive system and disposes of it. Nephritis is a disease that occurs in side the kidney(s). One other disease is Nephrosis is another disease it is the same as Nephritis except swelling occurs.
Interaction
The digestive system interacts with the excretory system by getting nurturance and producing waste. Then the Excretory system takes the waste and disposes with the waste. Another system that works with the excretory system is the Urinary system It shares most of the same organs.
