Dear Colts,
Here we are at the final week of the fall semester! So many great things have happened the first half of the year inside and outside of the classroom here at CMS!
The academic growth in our students has been exponential. In addition to our academic successes, we have been recognized across our extracurricular activities: Girls 8th-grade C Volleyball Team won the district championship; Boys 7th-grade A & B Football Teams are district champions; our Cheerleaders are champs in NCA Rally Routine along with many other NCA awards; CMS represents forty-three percent of the District Band; and Honors Band are National Winners in the Mark of Excellence.
In addition, our Colt community has contributed to those in need, including helping with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. We enjoyed the additions of our new digital marquee, reconditioned scoreboard, new field sound system, welcome banners, and so many more upgrades to our campus.
Beyond the upgrades, the daily magic of our campus truly happens with the focused efforts of our staff and students. I am proud to be the principal of this great campus and appreciate everything each of you do to contribute to the positive experiences for our Colts.
BEST,
David Arencibia, Ed.D.

Student Voice
"This semester has been really good. I enjoy my Algebra class because I can work at my own pace and have also been excited about basketball season for a while. I really enjoy PALs (Peer Assisted Leadership) and our first visit to be able to go next door to the elementary (CES) and hang out with my PALee to play games and help them out with whatever they need. It was a cool moment when he found out that I was his PAL and he went around and told all of his friends and was excited. All of the little kids were happy to have me there, which made me happy just being there and spending time with them."
