Penn Pride: We have. We are. Together.
We're All in This Together
This year our theme is "We're All in This Together". We picked this theme to facilitate all the changes due to the district boundary adjustments. The staff kicked off the first day of school by dancing to this song, and since then Mrs. Paisar has been teaching it to the students, so we could all do it together at our Halloween Parade. They have been loving it! In fact, you may have caught a few bars or moves in the last bit. One day this week, a group of students broke into song and dance while waiting at the crosswalk. This makes my heart so happy! What began as a surface sort of theme is expanding as our relationships deepen and our pride community grows. We're still looking forward to doing it outside where we can spread out on the blacktop.
Everyone is special in their own way
We make each other strong (we make each other strong)
Were not the same
Were different in a good way
Together's where we belong
We're all in this together
Once we know
That we are
We're all stars
And we see that
We're all in this together
And it shows
When we stand
Hand in hand
Make our dreams come true
Together, together, together everyone
Together, together, come on lets have some fun
Sign Up for Parent Teacher Conferences asap
We are looking forward to parent-teacher conferences!
We feel very strongly that every child benefits from having the adults in his/her life sit down together to talk. Our goal is 100% of our students being represented at a conference. Here is the link for the sign up page: PT Conferences
Morning arrival
School begins at 7:55. Students should be in their classrooms ready to learn at 7:55 -- not still in the car line. With snow this week, we were very lax about enforcing having students come to the office when they were late. However, we will tighten up on that next week, so parents please make the adjustments necessary to allow for weather and more traffic and life, in general.
Car line expectations:
1. Always pull as far forward as you can. Students can enter through either door. When you just stop in front of the south door, our car line gets backed up onto Dubuque Street.
2. Do not leave your car in the car linen.
THANKS! Safety is our first goal.
THANKS! McDonalds and Penn PTO: over $500 raised for Penn.
