SAFE ROUTES APS

Safe Routes APS has joined forces with City of Orlando, Orlando Bike Coalition to host Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day on May 4th.

The ‘May the Fourth B(ike) with You’ ride is back for it’s 2nd year!

Join our bike, walk, or roll train starting from Leu Gardens. We will travel east on Corrine Drive in a pop-up path (.5 miles) to the school track. The parking lane along the north side of Corrine Drive will be transformed into a pop-up path for walking, biking, and rolling for this special day, giving users an idea of what's to come as part of the long-term Corrine Drive project intended to make the area more bicycle and pedestrian friendly. Improvements have been made to a section of Corrine since last years event and more will be coming.

If you can’t make it to Leu Gardens you can drop off/park at Audubon Covenant Church 3219 Chelsea St. and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits on Winter Park Rd. and walk, bike, or roll from there.

Walk, bike, or roll from your house to school and home that day and meet us on the track before heading to class.

Please invite friends, family, and neighbors to travel with you on your journey!

This is your call to adventure!

Only you will choose your path...MAY THE FOURTH B(ike) WITH YOU

At Falcon Fling we unveiled our largest capital improvement project to date, Audubon Recreation Complex (ARC).

Audubon Recreation Complex (ARC) will transform the schools ONLY play space into a state of the art recreational complex. The new space will include:

Turf Fields

Outdoor Learning Space

Parent Café

Mature shade trees around the complex

Purposed play areas to include favorite games like Four Square, Gaga Ball, Hopscotch and more

Paver space with seating

Landscaping

Newly mulched playground

Many of you might not understand the state of what this space currently looks like. Please take a few minutes to watch this video. APS students explain how it feels to play in the area.

As we mark our 5th year, my hope is to make Audubon Recreation Complex a reality. This capital project will benefit ALL of our students and staff for years to come. Please consider leaving your family’s legacy at APS and become a founding donor.
