There are other outliers who have a mixture of grade levels, this will also include you being set up in the cafeteria. FAFSA Support will be located in the cafeteria which is why we want all Senior Scot Time teachers there.
All others will be in alphabetical order in the large gym. You will each have a table space.
Counselors will be in Collaboration on Wednesday to share the reports that will need to be run for each student in your Scot Time. Including Powerschool Quick Look-up, Individual Details on courses with a D or F so that the parent knows the itemized breakdown of grades, and Career Cruising Graduation Progress. Scot Time Teachers will need to speak with the teachers of any and all of their students who currently have a D or F on their progress report. Core teachers assigning grades will need to be prepared for parents who have a D or F.
Seminar Teacher who have 9R's & 10R's will need to flag students and each out specifically to those parents for a face-to-face meeting regarding current progress.
Core teachers currently assigning a D or F should also make a special effort to reach out to parents regarding current progress so that parents know you are looking forward to speaking to them about their grade.

FROM DR. DUNCAN: Apply Kansas on Wednesday
This Wednesday, October 18th, we are hosting an Apply Kansas event here at HP. "Apply Kansas: College Application Month is a state-wide initiative in partnership with the American College Application Campaign, aiming to provide more students with the opportunity to apply to college, while specifically focusing on low-income and first-generation students. The goal of Apply Kansas is to ensure that 60 percent of Kansas residents have a college degree or credential by 2020."
Ideally, every senior will complete at least one college application during this event. They will be called down in groups of 30-35 during each hour of the day. This will primarily be by alphabet, with the exception of the first hour where a specific group will be called down. I anticipate those who participate only missing one hour of the day. I will update attendance throughout the day, with it being finalized no later than 3:30PM
In order to make sure we have enough coverage to assist students as they complete their application, please have your seniors go to www.tinyurl.com/HPApplyKS to sign up. So far, only 29 students have signed up. Shout out to Mr. Cooper for making sure the majority of his Scot time students sign up. Please have this done no later than Tuesday.
Also, Wednesday is College Gear day. Be sure to rep your school!
Thanks for all you do for our students,
Dr. Angela D. Duncan
