Student Services
February Events
Second Harvest Food Bank
Four students (Edwin Chirinos, Brandon Martinez, Eduardo Cruz, and Quetin Rogers) volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank in Elmwood sorting and weighing produce including limes, strawberries, and turnips. JCFA-East students stood out and were a huge help to the adult volunteers when it came to lifting heavy creates and boxes, and their ability to quickly and accurately weigh produce. They received many compliments from the Second Harvest staff and adult volunteers.
Resume Writing Workshop
Representatives from the Youth Empowerment Project presented a resume writing workshop to a group of juniors and seniors. Students learned the dos and don'ts of resume writing under the direction of the skillful (and entertaining) YEP presenters.
CPR Class
Mr. Champion, Ms. Maria, and Ms. T taught CPR to a group of five students. We will be offering this class to all students on a rotating basis. Please contact Mr. Smith if your student is interested in participating!
