We are so excited for all of our new friends that have joined us in 2nd grade! This year is full of fun adventures and laughter. This year is flying by! We invite you to join us on our adventure of positive energy! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Family Focus

This year we are taking more of a family focused approach to homework. We believe that spending quality family time is vital in the success of your student. We will provide family friendly, engaging homework activities and assignments. We would love if you would send us pictures of these activities and share them with us.

As a family read your favorite book and discuss the story elements, setting, and details.


ELAR: We will discuss and practice making inferences, discuss details in stories and review over adjectives, commas in a series and synonyms.

Math: We will review over 2D and 3D shapes as well as fractions.

Social Studies: We will compare different versions of Christmas celebrations.

Science: We will Identify and compare the properties of natural sources of freshwater and saltwater.


December 14-17- Holiday dress up days

December 15- Virtual Winter Wonderland

December 17- Polar Express Day- Students can wear pajamas.

December 18 - No school

December 19 - January 4- WINTER BREAK

January 5 - Students Return from Winter Break

-Please make sure to bring a mask every day

-Transportation changes need to be called into the front office.

-Sign up for SeeSaw to get important updates and reminders from your students teacher.

Parents and family are encouraged to join the ROE PTA. We are excited to get started with our annual memberships. Please join our ROE PTA by visiting www.joinpta.org. You will select Red Oak ISD as the district and select Red Oak Elementary as the campus. This will allow us to start our PTA drive virtually for the 2020-2021 school year. Watch for more information as the school year continues.
