We communicate in a variety of ways. The Falcon Flyer is the easiest way to stay “in the know.” You will receive it via School Messenger every two weeks. School Messenger is the district's mass notification system. If you are not enrolled, please click http://www.cfisd.net/en/parents-students/contacts-communications/schoolmessenger/ to sign up. We also post it to Twitter @CFISDFarney and post to the Farney Facebook page. Our mascot, Francine the Falcon, also has her own Instagram page. Simply follow francinethefalcon on Instagram.
Each teacher has their own website which is updated every two weeks. Updates might include, weekly classroom news, homework links etc. You can access their website through our campus site or by clicking the following link https://app.cfisd.net/urlcap/campus_list_135.html.
Teachers send home weekly folders which include student work and a communication card each Friday. Please sign the card and return the folder to school each Monday.
Did you know you can receive information about when your child enters and exits the bus? Go to zpassplus.com to access the parent portal and sign up for notifications. The RFID number is located on the left side of their "backpack badge" next to the barcode.
There is a great app for our district. Simply download it and follow the schools your children attend. With a click of a button you can see grades through the Home Access Center, check out the lunch menu, or contact your child's teacher.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered on the 1st day of school! You helped our students have an amazing first day!
Reserved ParkingThe reserved parking spaces at the front of the school are reserved for Farney staff members who frequently leave from and/or return to the building during the school day. Please do not park in these spaces before school, after school, or during the day. For your convenience, we ask all other staff members to use the back parking lot so that there are dozens of visitor spots available to you in the front of the school. We appreciate your cooperation.

Character Education September Theme
Our theme for the month of September is INITIATIVE. Initiative is seeing what needs to be done and doing it. Click on the link to see the Initiative Family Newsletter provided by Core Essentials.
Our Watch Dog program consists of Dads or Father Figures of Great Students who volunteer one day at their child’s school. They will perform a variety of tasks including assisting with the car line in the morning, eating lunch with their child, monitoring the cafeteria and helping in their child’s classroom. Right now we are collecting emails for our Watch Dog data base. If you are interested and haven’t already, please complete the registration link below to add your name and email to our list. We will be sending a sign-up link towards the end of September for dads to pick their date on the calendar. Please contact Isabella.firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. We look forward to your participation and hope to see many dads at Farney Elementary!
