Mitchell Athlete Day
Greenlee Primary School and Mitchell High School united to empower young students to be active. Mitchell athletes from seven teams shared their passion for sports while teaching basic skills to Greenlee students.
Flat Stanley
Second graders got a jump start on Flat Stanley projects. After reading Flat Stanley in reading groups, second graders traced themselves and sent packets all over the United States. Teachers and students are excited to see what adventures their characters have experienced!
LEPRECHAUN TRAPS
Have you ever tried to catch a Leprechaun? Turns out Leprechauns are magical and mischievous which makes them really hard to catch! Kinders and first graders built traps in hopes to lure in one of those wee little fellows. Leprechaun traps are a great STEM activity to get students thinking about the design process, building, math, problem-solving, trapping mechanisms, and creativity.
Jump Rope for Heart
Jump Rope or Heart is an educational program that teaches students the importance of staying fit and healthy. The program incorporates jump roping and fundraising. Greenlee raised $4,830 where proceeds were donated to the American Heart Association for research. Top fundraisers are pictured below.
