A Message from Donna
Today would have been my dad's 94th birthday. It is because of his love of music, singing and performance that I am in this career. Happy Birthday Daddy!
I hope you had a relaxing long weekend. As we head into December we have 3 1/2 weeks until Winter Break. I say this all the time but please pace yourself. This season will have extra stressors for us all. I have had opportunities to observe many classes in the past month and your lessons continue to impress. I want you to know that I realize how much extra effort goes into making and keeping these virtual classes engaging. If you want a classroom visitor to play some theatre games or read a story, invite me! I would love to play! In the meantime, remember to breathe and take a walk, or have some tea, or listen to music. My dad, Joe, was a huge Frank Sinatra fan if you are looking for a recommendation!. Do something for you whenever you can. I am here.
Have a great week
Donna
FHSDC and K-5 Visual Arts Combine to bring art books to life!
This week we release Red, A Crayon Story. It is a delightful story and perfect for your SEL classes or SEL warmup in class. It is simply about not judging a crayon by its color!
This is the third in our series. We plan to release them all to you by the winter break.
Enjoy and when you decide to share it as a part of a lesson please let me know so I can see if the director is available to join you and I certainly want to be there!
Thank you for supporting all our kids!
Walsh and Fuller- a Night of Virtual Theatre
Walsh, under the direction of Sheron Doucette and Fuller under the direction of Olivia Moriarty are putting finishing touches on their virtual weekend of theatre! Like Cameron, this will be presented online in a virtial format but these two drama programs are combining to present a full evening of theatre.
The link is below. Please, please support these talented teachers and students. Virtual theatre is so much harder than live theatre but no theatrre is successful without an audience.
We would really appreciate your support.
