Timely Updates from Superintendent Dr. Campbell
An eNewsletter was sent to all parents and guardians, via email, on Friday regarding the transition to hybrid learning. This is where you will find the most up-to-date information about the upcoming transition. Please make sure to check your email for this important newsletter.
Hybrid & Remote Learning
The window for choosing 100% remote or hybrid learning closed on February 19th. Now that the deadline has passed, we are unable to accommodate any requests to change the selection. The reason why is that making changes after the deadline would significantly delay the start of in-person learning. While we are making every effort to keep teachers and students together, recognizing we must adhere to social distancing guidelines and class size limitations and respond to parents’ choice of the model and staff accommodation requests, we must rebalance classrooms. This means your child’s teacher may change. We recognize changes are not ideal, and we’re doing what we can to maintain continuity as much as possible and school staff will be supporting the transition.
Online Health Screening (Attestation) Form Required Before Entering the Classroom
It is very important that all families in the hybrid model complete the daily and required online health screening (attestation).
Once school begins, families selecting face to face instruction, will receive a daily link to complete the health survey for each child. More information can be found at www.fwps.org/healthscreening
Important Health Safety Measures
Here is a preview of some of the safety measures we are taking:
- Daily health screening attestation and temperature checks that must be completed every day for all staff and scholars before they enter the school building
- Masks will be required for all school staff and students; if a scholar does not comply and wear their mask, parent/guardian will be called to pick them up
- Scholars will arrive on a staggered schedule to promote social distancing
- Social Distancing will be practiced in all areas and there will be regular handwashing throughout the day
- Visitors will not be allowed on campus in order to minimize the number of people on campus
