Elkton Elementary School Memo
Distant Learning Resources for Parents/Students
April 20, 2020
EES is just not the same without our children. I miss the smiles, the hugs, the noisy halls, the visits, the conversations, and the excitement of young learners totally immersed in what is happening in class. I hope your family is staying healthy and learning to navigate these uncharted waters we are experiencing.
Here are three messages from three EES teachers to their students:
"I am thinking of you and missing you. The memories of your smiles, stories, and antics bring me joy in rough times. I will do my best to support you and your family as we wade through this unknown period of time."
"I hope you are well and safe. I miss each of you every day. You bring me more joy and happiness than you can imagine. I hope to see you real soon."
"School is important but so is your health. Take care of yourself and each other. No matter what happens this year, be proud of yourself, your resilience, and your ability to adapt to extreme circumstances. I am proud of each and every one of you."

Reminders:
If you did not pick up your child's learning packet last week, you may stop by the school weekdays 8:00-4:00 and get the packet in the front foyer of the school. The packets are divided by grade level.
Do not hesitate to call/email your child's teacher if support is needed or if you have any questions. The teacher should be reaching out during the coming week to his/her students.
Food Distribution continues Monday and Wednesdays at RBES- 4:00-6:00.
Due to the pandemic, the Joe Corbi Fundraiser Pickup has been POSTPONED. We will let you know when we set up the pick up. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The school building is closed to the public. I will let you know when we will allow students to pick up their personal items. If there is anything that is needed now, please call the school to arrange a time to pick it up. I will get the item, bag it up, and put it in the foyer area for you. This should be for essential items that are needed.
As always, I appreciate your patience in this unusual time and hope you will continue to reach out if you or a family member needs anything.
Stay healthy and safe.
Mrs. Palmer
