JJ FOCUS-Interventions
- Improvement through data driven instruction is how we target our mission to all the different learners on our campus. We know there is not a "one size fits all", so our data is what drives how we will achieve our mission.
Intervention time is the 30 minutes we isolate to ensure we are providing interventions. Your instructional leadership team will be visiting your classrooms weekly to ensure interventions are being done. This is specifically for your tier 2 students. Definitely use this as an opportunity to use I-station lessons to support reading or evidenced based programs. (Please see google doc below). The remaining students may work on IStation or Daily 5 centers. For most teachers, this time is between 8:30-9. If your visitor does not see the intervention, please make sure to communicate whether the time has been modified.
For other content teachers, this may also be an opportunity to address the SEs decided in the cumulative data report. There is a column that states "RTI". If those SEs aren't addressed now, when will they be? Intervention time is a good time to address specific student needs. Be strategic! We will be coordinating a PD session focusing on supporting our goals of differentiation to support our key action #3.

What resources do I have for math? I need ideas to help support my students with specific SEs they need help in, per my cumulative data report?
