Principal's Message
Dear Booth Hill Families, This week we concluded our Book Fair and wrapped up our Kids Heart Challenge. Our second grade students presented their "change makers" and we're getting ready for St. Patrick's Day and our March Madness Basketball night for fourth and fifth graders. I want to thank all of our parent volunteers who came in and made our Book Fair incredibly successful. Our students loved all the genres and the wide-range of high-interest books to choose from. With Spring conferences this past week, it's hard to believe we will soon begin our third trimester. Our students growth academically, socially, and emotionally continues to impress all of us. We have a lot to look forward to in this last trimester. For our fifth graders, it's difficult for all of us to start thinking that they'll be transitioning to Hillcrest in a short time. They've been such a magnificent grade and I have no doubt they'll continue to shine as Hillcrest Hawks just up the road.
To capture the spirit of our Bobcats, Mrs. Armstrong created a heartwarming Kids Heart Challenge Celebration Video. Our final donation total was 21, 155. 75. Thank you to the Booth Hill community for all their support.Kids Heart Challenge Celebration Event Video
Our school budget moves forward with two critical meetings for parents to participate in. The first occurs on The Board of Finance meeting will be held on March 18 at 10 a.m. in the town council chambers. In previous years, when there have been large crowds, they have moved this meeting to one of our middle schools. So, please stay tuned in regards to a location change. The second meeting is a virtual town council on Tuesday, March 28. Both of these meetings are criticial to support the approved Board of Education budget. If you can't attend, please make sure you e-mail Town Council representatives and Board of Finance representatives.
Sincerely,
Dana

Line of the Week
This Friday one of our younger Bobcats enthusiastically skipped through the office to drop off R.O.A.R.S. tickets and to say hello. As we were sharing what we're doing this weekend, he mentioned that he was going to a birthday party, but what he was really looking forward to was his birthday. I assumed this was right around the corner and asked, "When's your birthday?" The student responded, "April 5, write it down on your calendar!" And, with that statement, I flipped my calendar to April 5 and wrote it down!
