Cyberbullying

What is Cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is when someone says or does mean and hurtful things to someone online. It can be leaving a hurtful comment, or posting a mean picture.
Facts:
1. Nearly 43% of kids have been bullied online.
2. Only 1 in 10 victims will inform a trusted adult or parent.
3. Girls are about twice as likely to be victims of cyber bullying than boys.
Cyberbullying is just as dangerous as physical or emotional bullying.
Ways to prevent:
Make sure if you know someone who is a target of cyberbullying you don't stay quiet. You need to inform an adult the second you see it is happening. The longer you wait, the more affects it has on the victim.
