This Week at Remynse
February 1st- February 5th
Welcome to February!
Thank you to the wonderful teacher that sent me a text message on Friday night when she noticed that my car was still parked in the front of the school. She just wanted to make sure that I was okay before she left for the night. I also want to thank the teacher that has been bringing me samples of recipes she has cooked and for helping me learn a few more things to cook at home. I have been well fed this past week. I also want to thank the teachers and office staff that often step in when they notice there is an unhappy parent. Thank you for always sharing with our parents about our students being our number one priority.
It warms my heart to see all of the kind gestures happening around school. I love seeing how you are helping each other out with students. I am amazed by the systems you have established so that students continue learning. I also notice how you often cover for another staff member so that they can take care of their personal needs. I also see how you make sure your team is fed by either cooking or picking up lunch. I am sure there are many more Acts of Kindness happening. Is there something you would like to share? Send me an email so that I can feature it in our newsletter next week.
Learning Walk Information
I will begin to include a small overall summary of what we saw. In these walks, we will never include names. We are using this information as a tool to see the needs of our campus. When I write my summary, I will give information like:
2/6 teachers used an engagement strategy while we were in the classroom
3/6 of the teachers were on schedule with their lesson
5/6 classes were working on worksheets
5/6 included "We will, and I will" statements in their Learning Objectives
The information above is not a depiction of what we saw last week, but gives you an idea of what I may be including in my summary.
Thanks to the Mad Science Group and the PBIS Team for a great Hero Party!
We had over 200 students attend!
The students were engaged and excited over this hands-on experience.
