Mrs. Greene's 3rd Grade
February 26, 2018
A Great Week!
Things I saw happen in Room 9 this week...
- MANY students decided to complete the OPTIONAL writing assignment. That makes me happy, even if students were motivated by the cartoon lunch instead of the writing practice they gained. It's all GOOD!
- Austin has worked so HARD, I mean incredibly hard to improve his writing and written response to text. His hard work is paying off!!
- Natalie has stepped up as a leader in all areas of 3rd grade... listening, participating in class discussion, and giving her best were seen many times throughout the week!
- Ethan is a great listener and shows he is involved in the learning by giving me silent signals (thumbs up, answers questions, etc...)
- Everyone presented their work in Science today. There were some fantastic presentations. Addi was so sweet...after every presentation she asked questions to show how interested she was!
- Ella allowed us to use her work in Math (she had a few mistakes) for evaluation and to help us learn from her. THANK YOU, Ella!
- It is such a pleasure to watch Yuvani work each day. She is focused and gives her best in all she does!
- Shota was so nervous to present his science project to the class. He and I worked together to sharpen his presentation skills...he did AWESOME!!!!
These are just a few of the MANY things I observed! Stay tuned for more...
SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS are due Monday, February 26. I am very excited about the number of students who have placed an order. So many good books in those fliers!!!
Our first ISTEP test will be given Tuesday, February 27. We test first thing in the morning. Please encourage your child to eat a healthy breakfast on test days. It makes a huge difference.
Can't wait to see all the students perform at the Talent Show tonight. Good Luck Cole, Ella, and Saryu!
Looking forward to a GREAT week next week!
Enjoy your weekend...
