M-STEP Readiness Workshop
Are you ready for M-STEP? Michigan’s new Assessment System, the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP) debuts in April of 2015. Choose one of four sessions and gather information and tools to discover what might be needed for spring of 2015.
If you are unable to attend in person, please contact your ISD or RESA to connect via videoconference as well as register for the conference below. During registration you will select 'connect via videoconference'.
If you are unable to attend a live session, the sessions will be recorded and posted to Mistreamnet.org after February 19th.

8:30 - 9:00 Registration and Welcome
9:00 - 10:15 Updates Regarding M-STEP
Participants will join a conversation/presentation related to spring assessments. There will be a question and answer segment.
10:30 – 11:45 Student and Teacher Online Assessment Awareness Course Orientation
This session will introduce a new tool created to support teachers and students with online testing. In the course for students, learners will demonstrate the ability to successfully navigate technology enhanced online assessments. The course for teachers/administrators will focus on how to incorporate online learning/assessments in daily instruction so that students are prepared to take high stake online assessments.
11:45 – 12:30 LUNCH (Provided for Face to Face Sessions)
12:30 – 1:45 Tools for Spring Online Tests
Participants will be provided with an overview of the online delivery engine including available tools used for the Spring 2015 state testing. In addition, this highly interactive session will introduce many resources and sites for implementation within classrooms.
2:00 – 3:15 Administration Panel
Join a panel of technology and curriculum directors as well as technology integrators who administered the fall pilot test. Suggestions, hints, and troubleshooting based on ‘lessons learned’ will be shared through this highly interactive question and answer session.
