A Message from Mr. Woodward
Hello everyone. As we near the end of the first quarter of school this year, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our students, school staff, and also parents, for all of their efforts in getting the school year off to a successful start. We have very high expectations for student success this year!
Winter Clothing
As hard as it is to believe, winter is upon us! Please make sure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather each day that they come to school. Coats, long pants, and closed-toed shoes are necessary for all students.
Title 1 Parent Leadership Team
On October 14 at 5:00 PM, we will have this year’s first meeting of our Parent Leadership Team. We will take a look at our Title 1 School-Wide Plan, Family Engagement Plan, and Home-School Compact. This will be a virtual meeting held on the Zoom platform. We will post a recorded version of this meeting on our website for anyone who would like to be involved, but is unable to attend. It is very important that we share this information and get parent and community feedback, so I hope to see many of you there.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
The current plan is to hold our first semester parent/teacher conferences in-person on October 20 and 21. These will be half-days with students being released at 12:30 and conferences happening in the afternoon and evening. Teachers will contact parents to schedule their conference. Our goal is 100% participation so that we can discuss the progress of all of our students.
My office door is nearly always open and I am happy to speak to any of you in person, or by phone, Zoom, or email if you have any questions. Please don’t hesitate to contact me.
