Wanted Element!

Strontium wanted DEAD OR ALIVE RIGHT NOW!

Strontium also known as Sr.( named after the town of strontian)

This metal criminal is silvery in color but can turn yellow after being in air. Underwater he can turn into hydrogen gas. He's from the group called alkaline earth metals, and like his fellow crime members, they are all very reactive. Weighing 87.62 mu's, he melts at 769 degrees Celsius. Electron pattern is 2-8-18-8-2.

WHERE DID HE COME FROM

He was the accidentally discovered when Adair Crawford analyzed a lead sample in the mines of Strontian, Scotland. Then he met Humphrey Davy and started to isolate this element from other elements and started to mass produce making allies. His first deadly appearance was in Japan during world war two when the 2 nuclear bombs dropped. Now he is scattered all over the atmosphere!

dON'T mix this with him

Strontium reacts slowly with water. to form strontium hydroxide, Sr(OH)2 and hydrogen gas (H2).

Sr(s) + 2H2O(g) → Sr(OH)2(aq) + H2(g)
