Career Center Newsletter for the week of March 7
Seniors - Local Scholarships are available NOW in Going Merry - they host our applications - the link is in the resources section of the newsletter under Scholarships and Financial aid.
- To apply you will need to sign up with Going Merry (link is in resources in the newsletter)
- use personal email not school email
- Complete every section in your profile this will open your eligibility to more scholarships
- Once logged in go to Menu - select profile to make sure all sections are completed fully
Required documents
- Upload your transcript into the documents
- Order your transcript on Parchment, then upload in Going Merry
- Upload a minimum of 2 Letters of Recommendation or use the Going Merry feature to request a letter of recommendation sent directly to Going Merry
- Letters of Recommendation cannot be from family members; at least ONE must be a school official like a teacher, coach, principal
- Upload the SAR (Student Aid Report) from your financial aid application *optional - see disclaimer
- *Disclaimer - you do not have to complete financial aid application to apply for scholarships. However, if you opt-out of filing for FAFSA or WASFA you will be ineligible for the scholarships that require the SAR
- Upload a school photo or senior photo
- All requirements and applications must be completed by the due date noted in the application.
Get the App
- After completing your profile and uploading the required documents. Download the app to your phone you can apply for scholarships and check on applications from your phone once your profile is complete and all documents have been uploaded.
-----> Missing documents and/or missing requirements will automatically disqualify an applicant.
To Find The Local Scholarship Applications:
- Once you have completed your profile and uploaded all the required documents.
- Log into Going Merry
- Got to Menu then select scholarships - see image below
- Make sure Local Scholarship is "on", it will be green as seen below
- Turn on the Show eligible only button is optional but recommended.

- Financial Aid Application Opened for current Seniors to apply & College Students to renew - 1 October 2021 - deadline 30 June 2022
- Don't miss out on grant and scholarship opportunities because you think you do not qualify!!
- To receive the College Bound Scholarship, students must complete the financial aid application

- Friday, March 11 is the last day to change AP Exam order
