Empowering Parents/Guardians
Birmingham Counselors presented at the first annual Parent Symposium on January 23rd. The counseling team was so happy to see so many of our families empowering themselves with information to be able to better support their students! Here is the link to our presentations.

Spring 2023 Programming
In February Counselors are going to be meeting with students to select classes for the upcoming school year. Please have your student review the classes we offer at Birmingham so that they can make informed selections!
Ask them questions like…
What electives are you interested in taking next year?
What CTE Pathway have you selected?
What LOTE (Language other than English) are you studying?
Where you recommended for Honors, AP (Advanced Placement) or SAS College Classes?
Are you going to try out for a sport next year? Or are you continuing your sport?
How many credits have you earned out of the 230 you need to graduate?
Do you have any D’s or F’s you need to make up this summer?

Grade Level Updates
9th Grade
10th Grade
Hello, Class of 2025! We are excited to continue guiding you through your last semester of 10th grade. We will be going into your English classes in the next few weeks to discuss your class choices for your 11th grade schedule, summer school, and to review graduation and A-G requirements with you.
Our goal is for everyone to get Cs or better this semester! Make the choice every day to get your homework done, go to tutoring for extra support, and study for your tests and quizzes. If you form good habits now, you will not have to worry about fixing your mistakes in the future! Imagine what you can do if you give 100% effort to your classes. What grades do you think you would earn? Remember, we are building your school transcripts, so that you are competitive when applying to those 4 year universities. We challenge you to get involved and join a club or an extracurricular activity that is interesting to you.
