Our chapter just held our 2nd annual Sink Out Arthritis Event! Many other fraternities and sororities on campus came out and participated to play and raise money. We also had a profit share with the local Tea2Go that helped us raise additional funds for the Arthritis Foundation. Thank you to all who helped make this event a success!
FALL EVENTS
Dads' Weekend
In November, the ladies welcomed their dads into town to have a fun-filled weekend. Over the weekend the women and their dads enjoyed a dinner and a concert at Billy Bobs' in the stockyards, had a tailgate prior to a Horned Frog football game, and enjoyed brunch at Woodshed in Fort Worth.
Founders' Day
Every year AOII chapters gather together with local alumnae to celebrate our four Founders. Lambda Rho celebrated in January at a local venue, where we shared a meal, honored our Founders, and celebrated members of our chapter for their success over the past year.
Jingle Bell Run
Each year, the Arthritis Foundation, our national philanthropy hosts a Christmas themed run to fundraise for arthritis efforts. After being honored for creating one of the largest teams, several members of Lambda Rho ran and walked together to raise awareness for arthritis efforts. Altogether, the team raised over $4,000 for Arthritis efforts.
SPRING EVENTS
Moms' Weekend
In February, Lambda Rho celebrated Moms' weekend around Fort Worth. Several girls' and their moms and relatives attended many events throughout the weekend. The ladies participated in a wine glass painting class using their crafting skills, relaxed and enjoyed a manicure and pedicure at spa day, and enjoyed a yummy brunch at Joe T Garcia's in the Historic Stockyards! We are all looking forward to Moms' weekend next Spring!
Spring Break
The beginning of March was TCU's spring break and several girls enjoyed time with their sisters, visiting warm and beautiful locations during their week off.
