Music at Webster

What we do...

All Noah Webster Micro-Society Magnet School students participate in the music program. Students in PreK-3 through 4th grade have a weekly general music class throughout the year and students in 5th through 8th grade are on a rotational unified arts schedule where they have music class every day for 6 weeks before moving on to another unified arts class. There are several concerts throughout the school year that students prepare for during their general music time including a Veteran's Day concert, a December Winter concert, a Multicultural concert and Songfest, the last concert of the school year.

Students in 4th through 8th grade can also elect to participate in the instrumental program at Webster. Students can choose a string instrument (violin, viola, cello, double bass) and play in the school orchestra or they can choose a woodwind/brass/percussion instrument (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, french horn, tuba, drums) and play in the school band.
