You may be wondering why the Japanese did this. Or how we didn't see it coming. Well, the U.S " Froze the assets" which means Japan could not buy oil. If no oil is present, the ships can't run and therefore Japan cannot continue to take over territory. This act struck a sensitive chord which the Japanese and they formed a war plan on how to get back at the U.S. Unfortunately many of us had to pay the consequence. 3,500 people were wounded or killed. 1,177 of those people died from the explosion and sinking of the U. S. S Arizona. One of America's 8 battleships that were destroyed. We send those who lost family members and friends our deepest sympathy.
