MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Greetings MVCSD Community,
I am very excited to welcome everyone back in less than two weeks! I hope everyone has had a relaxing and refreshing summer and is ready to come back to school. In the upcoming year, our teachers will be reinforcing the basics of reading, arithmetic, and writing. We want to construct a strong educational foundation for our scholars to build upon. I am confident that this approach will allow our students to thrive and continuously improve as they build an understanding of core academic concepts.
I would like to welcome our new trustees and our student trustee Ana De Leon Paez as the year begins. The education of our scholars takes a team effort, and I am excited to continuously work with everyone in the district to ensure that we are successful.
We have already begun the process of getting our students ready for school. We held a backpack giveaway at Edward Williams School last week. It was a joy to see the children smile as they received their backpacks and supplies. It is so important for our scholars to be prepared and ready to learn on the first day of school, so I am thankful for News 12 for hosting the backpack giveaway and giving back to our community.
Kindest Regards,
Dr. K. Veronica Smith
Acting Superintendent of Schools
