Busy Bee Leader Board

Leaders of Learning
This week's nominees:
I would like to nominate Nancy Hively, Laura Lee, Annie Osterman for the leader of learning because they have done the lesson plans for our class. Reading-powerpoint, Math, science, writing and Social Studies. I appreciate them so much.
I would like to nominate Clint Rogers for dealing with emotional, stressed out teachers with such a calm, easy manner. We do appreciate you!
I would like to nominate all teachers and assistants for helping during the mclass window and the SRI window. (I guess that means everyone gets to wear jeans next Friday--May 29! ) :)
I would like to nominate Helen Cole for always running right over when I have a discipline call. Helen jumps right in and takes these kids without a second thought. I don't know what I'd do without her!!
I would like to nominate Shelli Boes as a leader this week. Shelli offered her classroom for my class to use on the day when we did not have AC.
I would like to nominate Lisa Michno for her leadership. She is always there for our team. She is the first to step up if we need something. She has done amazing things with the students in her class. She lead one of her students to make huge changes in their behavior.
I would like to nominate Monica Lyons for taking over the class at a moment's notice and meeting the needs of all students. She adheres to lesson plans and makes connections and changes learning styles based on what she observes. She comes up with ideas based on themes to make learning fun and engaging. We celebrate because we communicate, collaborate and cooperate--the SPP difference!

Making our Hive Thrive
K, 1, 2 Great job continuing instruction during the testing windows. I am proud to say that I work with the most dedicated people on Earth! :)
Imagine Learning – This powerful learning tool is being used to engage students in the five domains and teachers are using it to provide small group instruction as well as literacy assignments. What an amazing tool!

Volunteers
We will be having an end of year celebration to thank our volunteers on June 4. If you have any ideas of something the kids could make for the volunteers, let me know. Also, send me pictures of them helping out with the students! I will send a list around soon for you to look over, to make sure all volunteers get invited.
Bee Buck Party
Just a reminder that the Bee Buck Party is Friday, May 29. The cost is 50 bee bucks. I put a copy of the ice cream schedule in everyone’s mailbox. Please be at the ice cream table at your scheduled time. I will also be putting an envelope with tickets in your mailbox. If you need more, let me know. Ask the children what flavor they want beforehand and write it on the ticket, so that scooping and serving can go quick. The flavors are either chocolate or rainbow vanilla. You also have the option of having a “global play day” in your classroom for those students that have earned it.
S is for Snowball
If you want to build a huge snowball, you can't pick up all the snow at once; it would just fall apart. You start small, pack it tight, and roll it slowly downhill. Snow sticks, and the snowball gains momentum as it grows.
You can't change a school's culture all at once, either. Change isn't something you just announce from the podium. Start small, build your crew, and above all...GET ROLLING.
