Tips for Practicing Mindfulness This Holiday Season As we enter the holiday season this year, it will be especially important to take some time to nurture yourself. Holidays can be stressful and life with Covid-19 is already a challenge for many. Remember to inhale slowly and exhale slowly at times when you may feel overwhelmed. You can also repeat the following phrases: May I be kind to myself. May I find peace and healing. I am doing the best that I can in this moment. May I accept and find ease with things just as they are. To learn more about practicing mindfulness and increasing your resilience, you can read the following online article. | Virtual Parent Forum: GCSD Monthly Update Scheduled for December 7 Join Superintendent Dr. Van Scoy, BOE Community Relations Committee members, and the district's chief finance and operations officer on Monday, December 7 from 7:30pm to 9pm for a discussion about the second half of the school year, winter athletics, upcoming construction projects, and district finances. Cold urticaria symptoms begin after the skin is exposed to a sudden drop in air temperature or cold water. Damp and windy conditions may make a flare of symptoms more likely.
The worst reactions generally occur with full skin exposure, such as swimming in cold water. Anaphylactic reactions can occur with cold urticaria.
If you have skin reactions after cold exposure, see your doctor.
