From The Principal's Desk

Welcome back Wildcats! We are so excited about the 2023/2024 school year. It has been a great start to the school year and we have some great things planned this year. We would like to invite you to Back- to- School night on September 13th. It starts at 5:00 p.m. and we will have a Baked Potato Bar dinner from 5:00-6:00 p.m.. There will be a presentation at 6:00 p.m. in the gym and then dismissal to see classrooms immediately following. We hope you can join us!

A few reminders about drop off and pick up. Parent drop off and pick up is in front of the school this year, parents must get out of their car to come get students in the front of the school, students will not be allowed to cross Main Street without a parent/guardian for safety reasons. Morning drop off time is at 7:45 a.m., and students need to go to the playground, or go eat breakfast in the cafeteria, we do not have supervision for them before this time. Thanks for your help.

We have a VIP volunteer training scheduled for September 5th at 3:30 p.m., if you plan to volunteer in your student’s classroom this year please plan to attend. School spirit wear order forms have gone home, take a look at them, we’re excited to see everyone in their Wildcat gear. And finally, just a reminder if your student is sick, please keep them home for the day.

We’re looking forward to a great school year, we’ll see you at Back-to-School Night on September 13th.

DROP OFF & PICK UP

Please make the school aware of any changes in your child’s “go home” plans, especially when younger children are involved. Let children know before school if there is a change in their daily schedule. Send a note to your child’s teacher or call the office. Students who are going to a friend’s home must have a note from their parent. PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE BEFORE 12:00 PM IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE PLANS FOR YOUR CHILD. Due to the loss of instruction time, students will not be called out of class early to wait for parents/guardians to pick them up in the office. The office will call the classroom when the parent/guardian arrives.

Thank you all for your cooperation in the new drop off/pick up locations. It is important to keep our students safe!

After School Clubs

Coding

The Fall session of both Beginning and Advanced Coding Studio is starting soon! Mrs. Downs will be giving each teacher a set of permission slips for Coding Studio after the Labor Day holiday. Teachers will disburse and send home with interested students. Even if your student was in Coding before, they must reserve their spot for this session by turning in a permission slip. Space is limited. Students will be notified at the time they turn the form into Mrs. Downs (in Room 116) if they made the list. *Space is limited to 25 students in Beginning Coding.

You must have passed level 4 in Beginning Coding to be in Advanced Coding.

Day/Times: Advanced class is on Monday from 2:30-3:30, and Beginning class is on Tuesday from 2:30-3:30. After class transportation is the responsibility of the parents. Get your permission slip turned in to Mrs. Downs/Room 116 ASAP. Space is first come/first served style. Do not turn in to the office!
