Teddy in his presidential years
Theodore Roosevelt had a few sad moments after he graduated college. For example his mother and sister died on the same day Feb 14,1884 and made him leave Dakota for 2 yrs. After those two years he came back to NYC and some good things finally happened to him. Teddy was vice president for William McKinley. After his term had ended, Teddy was voted for president from 1901 to 1909.
The coolest things about Theodore Roosevelt was
1. The fact that he was homeschooled.
2. He won the Nobel Prize
3. He was assassinated while giving a speech, but surprisingly made it through an hour and a half before he had to see a doctor for some medical treatment.
A famous quote from Teddy Roosevelt
"A man must first care for his own household before he can be of use to the state. But no matter how well he cares for his household, he is not a good citizen unless he also takes thought of the state. In the same way, a great nation must think of its own internal affairs; and yet it cannot substantiate its claim to be a great nation unless it also thinks of its position in the world at large."
