The BBE Spring Scholastic Book Fair will be held March 3 - 10 in the BBE library.


Shopping opportunities:

March 3: Book Fair opens Friday afternoon. Classrooms with library specials on Friday afternoon (only) may shop

March 6-10:

  • 7:30 - 8:00 am Parents are welcome to shop / Students may only shop with a parent present during this time
  • Students may shop during their normal library specials time

March 9: 6:00 - 7:30 pm Open to students and parents during Open House

March 10: Students with library specials on Friday morning (only) may shop. Book Fair closes at 10:30 am.

The cafeteria will be open for Science Fair set-up on Wednesday, March 8 from 3:45 - 5:00 pm. Please enter through the cafeteria doors in the back of the school, and BBE staff will guide you to your student's set-up location.


Students who chose to do so will have their science fair experiment judged during the school day on Thursday, March 9. Winners will be announced at the end of the school day.


Parents are invited to view the Science Fair during Open House on Thursday, March 9, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm, and take home your student's presentation at the end of the evening.

  • 6:00 pm: Parents may arrive early to visit the Book Fair in the library!
  • 6:30 pm: Classrooms and Science Fair in the cafeteria will be open for viewing

Cyber Safety Awareness

Cyber Safety Awareness

Crime Stoppers of Houston will host a virtual presentation of "Cyber Safety Awareness for Parents" at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 23, 2023. A Zoom link will be emailed to all BBE parents prior to the presentation. 4th and 5th grade students will have the opportunity to attend the assembly "Cyber Safety for Students" the previous day.

Seniors! BBE wants to celebrate you! Please put Thursday April 13th at 8am on your calendar and join us for a Senior Celebration! BBE PTA is also awarding two scholarships to graduating seniors who spent any part of their elementary career at BBE. More information and a link to the application is in the BBE PTA section below.

Naviance Parent Account

Parents/Guardians of 5th Grade Students,


Please check your email for the following information emailed on 2/27/2023:


On March 9th, parents/guardians of 5th grade students will receive an email that contains instructions and a code to create a Naviance parent account. Parents/Guardians will be able to review their child's Naviance plan through the parent account or with the student through the student account (accessible through MyHumble). Please note: changes can only be made from the student account.


If you have any questions about your child's course selections at that time please contact their future 6th grade counselor.

BBE PTA Senior Scholarship

The Bear Branch Elementary PTA provides two scholarships each academic year for graduating seniors who attended Bear Branch Elementary and will graduate from an Humble ISD high school. The amount of the first place scholarship is $1000 and $500 for second place. Applicants must email the completed application and completed paperwork to Elizabeth Randolph, Scholarship Chairperson, at Parliamentarian@bbepta.com by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Volunteer Guidelines

Humble ISD VOLUNTEERS make a significant contribution to the education of children. We LOVE our BBE volunteers!


For the safety of our students and staff, all Humble ISD volunteers need to complete a short online application prior to volunteering on a campus.
