It's Homecoming Spirit Week! We know you are excited for the #ChristianaVikings Homecoming. See below for spirit week information to join in all the "HoCo" fun. We hope to see everyone at the game on Saturday. Check www.VikingsSports.com for all athletics information.


There are NINE DAYS left in the first marking period. Be sure you know where you stand by checking HAC for official grades. If you need help with your HAC password, reach out to your school counselor for assistance.

CLOSED CAMPUS- Help keep our Campus SAFE!

The Christiana Vikings Campus is a CLOSED CAMPUS!

  • All visits to Campus should be made by appointment.
  • Students are NOT permitted to receive deliveries to school (NO FOOD, SNACKS, etc).
  • Unless it is an emergency, families should NOT attempt to access the Hallways/ Main Office for unplanned Early Dismissal after 1:30PM. We are limiting access to our building as students begin to dismiss.
  • Please PLAN Early Dismissals whenever possible, and CALL school ahead of time to arrange.
  • BRING LEGAL IDENTIFICATION when picking up a student.

WINTER SPORTS

ATTN ATHELTES: If you are interested in playing a winter sport, please go on your class page or on Vikingssports.com and fill out the winter sports interest survey so coaches get an idea of who will be coming out when practices start in early November. If you have not gotten a DIAA physical form completed since April 1, 2022, you need to do so as soon as possible to be eligible to start practice. Our wellness center can schedule you an appointment.

Homework

All students should be completing/passing 2 Imagine Math lessons per week. 12 are required for Marking period 1 for full homework credit ending November 4. If one is missed a week it can be made up the next week. All students have used the program in class. Live tutoring is available for FREE through Imagine Math if student needs support. (Up to 9:00 pm)

Morning Drop-Off

Please do not drop off any students in the street. They should not be walking across the drop off line to get into the building.

More Middle School Reminders

MIDDLE SCHOOL REMINDERS:


  • In the morning you may only enter the building from the Middle School entrance H-Building
  • Late to school starts at 7:20 AM
  • 7:20-8:00 enter H-Building and sign in with Ms. Ozor.
  • After 8:00 enter from the Middle School Main Entrance in H building, and CALL secretary to gain entrance at 302-631-2405 (see separate communication with details)



Early dismissals- students must be picked up prior to 1:30pm. After 1:30 we are preparing for dismissal.


Late Pick Up: All Car riders must be picked up by 2:30 pm.

UD Engineering Discovery Day

Engineering Discovery Day is an event designed to thoughtfully encourage female high school students to consider higher education in the STEM fields. This event will allow high school girls to learn more about engineering to see if it's the right fit for them! A.O.E.’s goal is to help girls begin to recognize the STEM career opportunities open to them. We want to attract the best and brightest minds into our fields that will move us forward; more women can contribute to our field, and we can help make that happen. A.O.E. invites students from Christiana High School to attend this special event!

Newark Holiday Food Program is Back in Person!

The program will offer a "pop up grocery store" where food recipients will have the opportunity to choose their own food items, and for community members who are unable to pick up, they will make deliveries. See the NAWC website for more details: https://www.newarkareawelfare.org/

SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR WINTER & SPRING SPORTS

Sports physical can be performed now for the Winter & Spring Sport seasonS. If you would like to get your Sports physical at the Wellness Center, call (302) 454-5421 to schedule.
