February is National Heart Awareness Month. This year, through our PE classes, we will be joining the American Heart Association for a fundraising campaign - no money will be collected by students in person, only online. We will also sell red ribbons and tattoos during the month of February with money donated to the American Heart Association. We want to encourage our students to build a healthy lifestyle to encourage cardiovascular health. Every Friday, we will wear red to support our heart health and our Stanton Buffs at the same time!

Next week will be our annual book fair. We hope you are able to set up an ewallet for your child for their purchases. Cash is accepted as well. Reading with your child every night builds vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills that will enhance their school day, so now is a great opportunity to stock up on some fun books.

Thursday, February 2nd will be open house and family night at the book fair. We will have the book fair set up in the PE gym that night to help give you plenty of shopping space. We hope you join us and have a chance to see the amazing things your children are learning here at school.

Kindergarten and first grade will be celebrating the 100th Day of School - be on the lookout for information from your child's teacher!
