Dear Cole Manor Families,
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! It is my pleasure to welcome you back to a new school year filled with learning and new and exciting experiences! The staff at Cole Manor is eager to meet all of you at Open House to be held on 9/20/23. Specific information is contained in this newsletter. We are also hosting a back to school social on August 30th planned by our amazing PFC. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet staff, other families and community members. Please plan to join us for these events as well as others we will plan throughout the school year! Please take a moment to read through the information included in this newsletter. It will guide the start of the school year to ensure a smooth and enjoyable return. Students will begin school on August 28th for a full day of school. Breakfast will be served on the first day of school. As students report to school, we will gather in the schoolyard and students will report directly to their homeroom teacher and lining up in the schoolyard. Your child’s new teacher will have a sign with his or her room number.
All families will have access to your child's assigned teacher and room number the week of 8/14/23. Directions will be sent from the district IT department sharing how you can access this information.
Student forms will all be on line this year as continue our efforts to be a paperless district. The links to all required forms are contained in this newsletter for your convenience.
Cole Manor will continue with the recommended school uniform program. The uniform will consist of khaki or blue pants or skirts and blue or white tops. Please plan to become involved in activities at Cole Manor during the school year! We have many family activities, student events, and parent workshops. The link for this year's parent workshops is included in this newsletter.
Our Back to School Night will be 9/20/23 at 5:00-7:00 PM. Cole Manor School has an amazing Parent Faculty Committee supporting our students and we are always in need of new volunteers. Our PFC will be on site to share more information during this event.
Join us for a PFC meeting and find out how you can work with the school team this year as we plan for your child's program. Our first meeting will be on 9/6/23 at 6 PM in the library. We are excited to share our new library "Flux Space" as well as Title I information.
Breakfast & Lunch Information for 2023-2024
The Norristown Area School District will be continuing with the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) lunch program this school year.
Under CEP, all children will receive breakfast and lunch at school at no charge. Families will not need to complete paperwork or applications to receive these meals. CEP does not cover the cost of extra servings and a la carte (snack) items. These will be available for students to purchase. If parents wish to put money on their students account for extra servings and a la carte (snack) purposes only, they may do so. Pre-payment will be accepted through the Breakfast or Lunch lines or at https://www.schoolcafe.com/NorristownASD.

Bienvenido al año escolar 2023-24! ¡Es un placer darle la bienvenida a un nuevo año escolar lleno de aprendizaje y experiencias nuevas y emocionantes! Únase a nosotros para una reunión y descubra cómo puede apoyar a nuestra escuela. Información de desayuno y almuerzo para 2023-2024 El Distrito Escolar del Área de Norristown continuará con el programa de almuerzo de Provisión de Elegibilidad Comunitaria (CEP) este año escolar. Bajo CEP, todos los niños recibirán desayuno y almuerzo en la escuela sin cargo. Las familias no necesitarán completar papeleo o solicitudes para recibir estas comidas. CEP no cubre el costo de porciones adicionales y artículos a la carta (bocadillos). Estos estarán disponibles para que los estudiantes los compren. Si los padres desean poner dinero en la cuenta de sus estudiantes para porciones adicionales y solo para fines a la carta (refrigerios), pueden hacerlo.
