AAMU/UAH Regional Inservice Center
August Newsletter 2017
Welcome Back!
I hope each of you have had a good beginning to the FY 17-18 school year. I am not sure where the summer went! It seems like we just celebrated High School graduation and now we are accepting the class of 2030.
We have been busy this summer. Dave Burgess spent the day in Alabama and pushed teachers across the state to "Teach Like a Pirate". We had great representation from our region.
Administrators in the area completed a PLU on "Lead Like a Pirate". It's a great book and I would highly recommend it to all.
Finally, our Technology in Motion Specialist, Jornea Erwin has taken a new position with FlipGrid. She will be missed by our Region but her work is taking her to do great things in the area of technology. You can follow her on Twitter @Savvy_Educator.
I wish for each of you a wonderful school year and if there is any thing we can do to help you in the area of professional learning, please don't hesitate to ask.
