Inside and Outside shoes required! The slushy, muddy season is close at hand! Students need a pair of inside shoes that are only worn inside the school. Outside shoes or boots are required and are left in the lockers after each recess to prevent tracking mud and slush into the classrooms.

Water Bottle and Labeling Reminders: Students need to have a reusable water bottle at school with them every day as drinking spouts at water fountains are off-limits for health reasons. Please label your son’s water bottle and any clothing, shoes, coats or school supplies that your son brings to school.

2021-2022 Parent Academic Information Evening on Thursday, April 8 @ 7:00 pm. This presentation is for parents of students currently in Grade 8. Zoom link will be provided. Parents will hear about Grade 9 course option selections for 2021-2022. Students are welcome but not required to attend; presentations will be made to students at school. For more information contact Ms. Brenda Montgomery.

Marks in OnCampus: The reporting period changes mandated by the government this year has required us to adapt our trimester system of grade reporting in OnCampus. We split “Trimester 2” into two segments: 2 and 2b. To see all grades for all the courses in OnCampus for “Trimester 2”, you will need to click on the Grades dropdown in the Progress menu and switch between the 2 and 2b options. For more information, please contact Mr. JP Trudeau, Director of Technology.

Earth Week (April 19-23): Matthew Homa (Grade 11) has brought together a committee of students and staff to create a fantastic week of events for the boys of Selwyn to recognize Earth Week. Along with guest speakers and an adapted Climate March, there will be a series of environmental challenges (and prizes) throughout the week. If you are a staff member, or student in Grade 5-11, and would like to join the committee - please contact Matthew Homa directly (homam@selwyn.ca) for information about the meeting dates/times.
