August 22, 2023
Principal's Message
Dear Wolf Hill Families,
I hope that your summer has been amazing and filled with laughter, joy, and making memories! As we close in on the start of the 2022-2023 school year, I wanted to reach out and provide you with much needed information to start the year off smoothly! We are excited to welcome our learners back! We remain committed to providing each and every one of our students access to a high quality education while remaining committed to the social and emotional growth of our students and staff. We remain committed to flexibility and a collaborative process with our school community stakeholders in order to ensure that our students find optimal success this coming year.
The Wolf Hill school staff has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming school year and are looking forward to a tremendous year of learning, laughing, and engagement. Building relationships with students is always at the forefront and heart of what we do as educators. I know that with a collaborative effort between home and school we can make this an unforgettable school year and a truly positive experience for our students. Our staff is ready, willing, and able to provide assistance where needed for our students and parent community.
We will have some exciting new facility upgrades ready for our students when they return! We have a brand new cafeteria, media center, and a fully functioning play area! Our play area is equipped with two new playgrounds (Preschool and K-4), swing apparatuses for both, a paved blacktop area with games, a gaga ball pit, full court basketball, and a disc golf set! The play area is also fully monitored by security cameras to ensure student safety. Our Kindergarten classroom renovations will be complete by October 1st with fully functioning bathrooms!
We are also excited to announce that we will be offering a new special area class to all students. It will be a STEAM special that all students will be offered once a week. Mrs. Mistretta will be transitioning from her 4th grade role to spearhead this new initiative for our students. Ms. Kallok will be transferring from Maple Place to the Wolf Hill family as our new 4th grade teacher! We are excited to have her as a part of our team. We also welcome in a new fulltime Gifted and Talented teacher, Mrs. Goldsmith, a new instructional coach in Mrs. LaSalle, and a new preschool teacher in Mrs. Harmon! We are every excited about the positive impact these additions will have on our school community and student population!
As we embark on a new school year, I am confident that with a continued commitment to a collaborative relationship, we will ensure a strong home to school connection to support student learning. I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of your summer and I cannot wait to see all of you again in the halls of Wolf Hill in September. Please read all sections of the newsletter below as they contain important and pertinent information.
Sincerely,
Mr. Mags
