Stomach cancer is slowly decreasing in the U.S but is one of the leading cause of cancer death in other countries because of their salted foods.


Symptoms of Stomach Cancer

If you have poor appetite, Weight loss (without trying), Abdominal pain, Heartburn or indigestion, Swelling or fluid build-up in the abdomen then there could be a chance that you have stomach cancer.

Risk Factors

If you are above the age of 50 then you have a more likely change to have stomach cancer. Eating lots of smoked food, salted fish and meat, and pickled vegetables is another way to get stomach cancer. Having a first degree relative gives you a higher chance of obtaining the disease.


How to Really Find Out

After finding all to most symptoms and going to the doctor then the doctor should give a endoscopy to really find out if stomach cancer is what the patient has.

After being diagnosed with stomach cancer and you begin the treatment then it's better for your body if you eat what you can when you can but eating healthier is always better. As the stage of cancer progresses then slowing down your proportion of food will be a good chose


Coping and Pain Management

When being treated for the stomach cancer you will have to cope with feeling tired also you may have a loss of appetite and difficulty eating. For the pain part there are lots of different things to do. Besides the normal medication you can a have therapy called Oncology rehabilitation and it plays a key role in pain management. There is also nerve blocking treatments like Celiac plexus block it reduces pain in the upper abdomen and Hypogastric plexus and it reduces pain in the lower abdomen and also, in the upper pelvis.


How You Treat and Prevent The Cancer

For treatment of the stomach cancer different things matter on what stage of stomach cancer you have. The usual treatment is a surgery and Chemo therapy. The food you eat can really affect your chances of getting Stomach Cancer so to prevent getting Stomach Cancer that eat less smoked, pickled and cured foods will be better for the stomach.
