Mix-It Up Lunch 6-8
Mix It Up Lunch at Prestwick STEM - January 25, 2019- Students in Grades 6 through 8 participated in a Mix-It Up Lunch where students came to their table to sit based on a number drawn. Students talked to some students that they hadn’t ever interacted with before. It was a tech-free day, and students learned to interact socially with their peers. This activity was a part of our Great Kindness Challenge this week!

Prestwick LEarns: National Drug & Alcohol Awareness Week
We continue to emphasize healthy choices in all aspects of life. Your health matters! As we head into heart health awareness we will continue to educate all of our learners.
For questions or concerns in this area feel free to reach out to our campus administration team including Mrs. Burrell. We are happy to help!
Staff Spotlight
This week our spotlight is on one of our 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Neely. This is Mrs. Neely’s second year here at PSA and she is teaching math and social studies. Mrs. Neely is from Dallas, Texas and proud to be a Native Texan. She graduated from University of North Texas at Dallas.
Each year, Mrs. Neely’s educational goal is to “change student’s hearts and minds about math.” She enjoys helping students that struggle in the area of math and then come to love it. In addition, an aspect that Mrs. Neely loves about teaching is building self confidence and setting ambitious goals with her students. “It is important for kids realize how smart and talented they truly are. I strongly believe that once you teach them self confidence skills and hold them accountable to help them reach their goals, nothing can stop them.”
Mrs. Neely is married to her high school sweetheart, Joshua. Something that you may not know about Mrs. Neely, is that she is deeply passionate about her Dallas Cowboys! How ‘bout them Cowboys! In Mrs. Neely’s free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
