Principal's Corner
The Week Ending 5-24-19
Dear OSS Technology Campus Families,
Congratulations to Ms. Blaske, Ms. Jensen, and all the Science Olympiad members. OSES place first and second in the state competition this year. This is the first time our school has gone to state and it’s a magnificent accomplishment.
The lost and found is filled with water bottles, jackets, and lunch boxes. If your student is missing anything, please check the lost and found in both buildings 1 and 2. Anything left at the end of the year will be donated.
There is no school Monday, May 27th in honor of Memorial Day. The last day of school is Wednesday, May 29th!
No backpacks will be allowed on campus the last two days of school next week. This policy was implemented by OCPS and OSES will follow its lead
Sincerely,
Michael Singleton

Science Olympiad
OSS is heading to Nationals, and we need your help to get us there!
We are proud to announce that the Orlando Science Middle School Science Olympiad Team is heading to Nationals this May to represent the state of Florida. After taking home a 1st place prize at the State Competition, held at the University of Central Florida, their sights are now set on the National Competition in Ithaca, New York.
In order to make this dream a reality, the school is looking for dedicated individuals interested in "Sponsoring a Student." The sponsorship program will assist in costs associated with the travel, accommodations, and additional necessities for the team of 15.
Donations and sponsorship benefit details can be found through the links below. All donation processing will be made through Orlando Science’s School Pay Account. Please feel free to review our fundraising site at your convenience. The deadline for donation will be Friday, May 31st.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school with your inquiries at OSMSEnrollment@orlandoscience.org.

Kindergarten
First Grade
Ms. Molnar’s class had a great last full week of first grade! Thank you to all of those that helped out this year and contributed to our class successes! It was a wonderful year and we could not have done it without you! I hope you all have a great summer!
Second Grade
Ms. Shirar’s class enjoyed a week filled with fun themed STEM days. The students told stories by the “campfire” and ate smores directly from our solar oven. They observed diffusion in action, showed off their talents, and won a Kid’s Choice Award!
In Mrs. Waugh’s class, students ended the year with a 3-D paper taco truck project. Students designed a truck including the required elements, found the area and perimeter, a business name, and color key. Some students even typed their menus and made dining furniture. Bring on Taco Tuesday!
The second-grade team would like to thank all of the students and parents for an unforgettable and tremendous school year!
Third Grade
Operation Orca donut party winners Olivia and Aurora
Thank you parents for all of your support this year. It would not have been the success that it was without YOU!
