THE PRINCESS OF LITERATURE
SCARED OF LONELY
Sharise Watkins is a nineteen year old girl who stumbled upon a dark path by becoming involved in a consensual relationship with her brother Corey Taylor. Lending him her soul, she begins a treacherous journey after giving him her heart. Caught up in infatuation, lust, and a secret she wanted desperately to keep between them, their families are both chastened when they find out the news. On top of the relationship drama, everyone watches and sees how abusive Sharise is towards her three year old daughter Shaneyia.
Sharise soon finds that she is scared of being alone and settles to be with her brother through all the pain, lies and heartache that he brings her.
A’Tisha “Tisha” Brown is Sharise’s best friend and when a situation forces her to move into her friend’s broken home, she witnesses firsthand the child abuse and the disturbing incest relationship. Tisha cannot bear to stay silent even if that means her and Sharise’s friendship will fade away. She makes plans to tell Roc, the father of Shaneyia who is locked up and has no clue of what is going on because Sharise does not allow him to speak to his only child.
As Roc and Tisha begin to get close and become fond of each other, he finds out about Sharise’s deception and they both devise a plan to shut Sharise down before her evil doings pulls everyone down into the negative pit she lives in. While in the process, Tisha is falling in love with Roc and eventually begins trusting him and fixing the turbulence in her life. Will Roc and Tisha’s love story end in tragedy even though they were brought together by fate?
Sharise becomes obsessed with being involved with her brother and by giving into the allure of temptation, she soon finds that she may be in too deep to be pulled up.
Come join Jana Nicole Pauldo, “The Princess of Literature” as she spins a bittersweet tale of a girl whose choices are considered morally wrong in the eyes of society and the life-long effects that could change her circumstances permanently.
