School Site Council Nominations

Margarita Middle School is holding elections for School Site Council (SSC). We invite you to nominate yourself or others to serve as a parent/ community member, or classroom teacher. Please submit your name(s) on the form below by 11 PM on Friday, 8/25.

School Site Council is composed of equal numbers of staff and parent representatives who serve a 2-year term. They meet throughout the year to oversee the implementation of various programs in the school, including state and federally-funded programs. The School Site Council is a governing body that is responsible for deciding how to spend Title I money to improve the instructional programs here at Margarita Middle School. The School Site Council members work together to set goals for improving student achievement at the school, allocate the funds to accomplish those goals and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs.

For the coming school year, we have 2 parent/community members, 1 student, 2 classroom teachers, and 0 other staff member openings. Please complete this by 11 PM on Friday, August 25.
