The American Industrial Revolution
This revolution was during the time period of the 1800's. Many inventions and technologies were created. Most of the inventions that were created benefited the population, it helped many farmers, and business owners. Some of the new technologies that were made were all mainly machines that were put into factories for more help. The factories that now have machines that are helping them package/make goods are also declining the number of workers in the factory, and it caused many Americans to loose their jobs.
Cotton Gin
The cotton gin was one of the first invention during the 1800s made by Eli Whitney.The cotton gin is a machine that took cotton through a comb almost like your fingers this separated the cotton fibers from the cotton seeds. This machine cause many farmers to plant more fields of cotton.
Steam Engine
The steam engine was made by James Watt in 1775. Most of the inventors of the steam engine used this to to pump and remove water from mining holes.
Telegraph
The telegraph was made by Samuel F.B Morse in 1836. A telegraph was an electrical system that could send messages from one location to another. When you received a telegraph it would put marking on a piece of paper and it was interpreted in Morse code.Morse code is a method of sending messages in electronic pulses.
Sewing Machine
The sewing machine was made by Elisa Howe in 1844. A sewing machine is a machine that is used to make clothes. It can also be used to connect certain things together that are made out of cloth. It is used to make blankets, towels, quilts, etc. The sewing machine helped many women. It helped because instead of them having to hand sew their clothes they now had a sewing machine to make things faster and easier.
Telephone
The telephone was made by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. A telephone is a device that you can call someone from a distance. The telephone back then wasn't as technical as it is now. It could only make calls, and it could only make a certain amount of calls.
