About Me (Anthony Pham)

A pretty bland life

Family and Values

I'm blessed to have such an amazing family. They are supportive of me and encourage me to do the things I love to do. Many of the values which I stand by today are from them. Some life values I do my best to follow are respect, honesty, and justice. Some of my work values include accuracy, persistence, and efficiency. As a child, my family indirectly reinforced these values into me.

Interests and Traits

I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, doing Quiz Bowl, playing the violin, playing with my dog, and things of that nature. One of my top interests however is doing math. I like the justice in it and how there is a feeling of righteousness to it. I've had many vivid ideas for a career as a child. At this current point in time, I have a strong feeling to go into the medical field, hopefully a pharmacist. As a pharmacist, accuracy is important and one works independently most of the time. This will require a long time in school, but if I'm successful, it will pay off greatly.

Personality and Skills

As a person, I consider myself predominantly introverted. I like to be independent and dislike group projects. I usually don't show a lot of emotion on the outside, but I feel them a lot in the inside. I do my best to stay honest as well as to be sure things are accurate. I'll sometimes go back and recheck an answer that should be very easily and can even be done mentally. Based on the Holland personality test, I am mainly an investigative and conventional person. (Which means I'm math/science based as well as organized) Based on the Myers-Briggs test, I am an INFJ-T, meaning I'm moral based as well as doing things in a practical way. Based on these tests as well as many other tests, I have inspirations of becoming a computer programmer, pharmacist, or even a lawyer.

Multiple Intelligence

After taking an MI test, I found out my dominant ones were intrapersonal, logical, and existential. This means that I'm a practical person who likes to work alone. Some jobs that I connected with these are an auditor, mathematician, or a scientist.

Career Cluster

There are sixteen career clusters created to help people find a job that fits one's interests and strengths. My top career cluster was Information Technology. This means I could possibly be doing things for a career such as managing a computer network, developing software, or even creating a new video game. The latter seems most intriguing for me.
"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."

I have many hobbies inside and outside of school. Most are listed above in interests and traits, but there are more activities I like to do. I enjoy playing soccer (although I'm not very good at it), basketball, and playing video games outside of school. In school, I enjoy orchestra, Quizbowl, and math.

How I See Myself

As a person and like any other, I'm not perfect. I have many things to improve on, such as dealing with stress better, needing to become more social, and spending more time with my family. Overall, I see my self as almost half-optimistic and half-pessimistic. The pessimistic side just barely takes over and I'm aware of this. I allow it to do so to raise my standards. However, this does not mean I'm always pessimistic. I do have aspects of myself that I am proud of. I don't give up easily, I don't get offended by others easily, and also I am usually kind to others. For the future, I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do, career rise. For my to-do list, I do have some ideas.

-Go to Vietnam, my "home country"

-Learn another language other than English and Vietnamese

-Never get a B on a report card

-Go to a good college

-Score well on the ACT (Hopefully 31+)
