Our First Week's Instruction

Everyday Math

The parent letter for Unit 1 was sent home on Wednesday of this week. Our first unit will be focusing on geometry.

**Ask your student about the differences between a line, line segment, and a ray.


In writer's workshop your student has been working hard to create a meaningful and detailed "All About the Author" page to display on our writing wall.

**Ask your student about our Classroom Chromebook Agreement (pictured above)

In reader's workshop students have been learning new classroom expectations concerning our classroom library, as well as, new reading strategies that will allow them to become a more purposeful reader.

**Ask your student about how asking questions before, during, and after reading helps strengthen their comprehension.
