PARALLELOGRAM EXAMPLES (BLOCK 3)
Steps
1) measure of angle 1 is 90 because of right angle
2) measure of angle 2 is 58 because of alt. interior
3) measure of angle 3 is 58 because opposite angles are congruent.
4) measure of angle 4 is 32 because of adding measurement of angles 1, 2, and 3 and subtracting from 180 because a triangle is equal to 180.
Properties of parallelogram (BLOCK 4)
PROPERTIES
If a parallelogram is a rhombus, then the diagonals are bisecting each other.
If a parallelogram is a rectangle, then it has 4 right angles.
if a parallelogram is a square, then it has 4 congruent sides and right angle (4)
TRAPEZOID AND ISOSCELES TRAPEZOID CP & CT (BLOCK 5)
Similiarities and Differences
Similarities: Both are Trapezoids, and have base angles, and legs.
Difference: Trapezoid only has ONLY 1 pair of parallel sides. Isosceles Trapezoid has diagonals that are congruent.
TRAPEZOID PICTURES EX
PURSE TRAPEZOID
This trapezoid in real life purse has 1 pair of congruent sides.
The angles across each other are congruent, but when opposite, the angles diagonal are not congruent.

TRAPEZOID AND ISOSCELES TRAPEZOID EXAMPLE WITH WORK (BLOCK 6)
Trapezoid EXAMPLE
Steps
1) write formula QR=1/2 (LM+N)
2) use reciprocal of 1/2 to 2 and multiply with x and PURENTHESIES stays the same.
3) combine like terms and solve for x.
Isosceles Trapezoid EX
Steps
1) find angles that are congruent.
2) congruent angles are angle D and angle E are congruent. Angle C and Angle F are congruent.
3) solve and find the other measurements
4) angle C and angle F are congruent. Both are 65
5) subtract 180 from 65. Angle D and angle E are congruent and equal to 115

Example
Example 2
Kite Example (BLOCK 8)
Steps
1) measurement of angle 1 is 90 because right angle
2) measurement of angle 3 is 52 because congruent angle to 52
3) measurement of angle 2 is 38. Add measurement of angles 1 and 3 and subtract 180.
