Crusaders in (and out) of the classroom!
Students are digging the new seating and bulletin board in Mrs. Townsend's room. It creates opportunity for discussion and an inviting/engaging way to complete tasks.
Students in Mrs. Townsend's Navigate The World class worked together in groups to present about necessary Soft Skills for successful employment.
Every half day, the students and staff of the POST Program open the Half Day Cafe and sell lunches and baked goods to the staff. The students are involved in so many ways... from shopping, making desserts, rolling meatballs, wrapping desserts, and even selling the items at the bake sale table! Everyone works hard!
Our World of Difference Peer Leaders finished their second full day of training. They had fun getting ready to teach a lesson called the "Lemon Activity" to our 6th grade students.
Mrs. Waitner's Biology classes did a wonderful job in their lab where it was up to the 10th graders to determine what variables could be introduced to make the reaction between Baking Soda and vinegar even larger.
Our Middle School Math Team participating in group competition problem solving activity and playing a game called Salute, practicing number sense skills.
Mrs. Genovese art class recently participated in a contest to design the shirts for this year's Edaville Rail Race to support the Dorrine Merritt Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Genovese, Billy Clark, Noah Frazier, and Jimmy Beliveau all submitted entries. The winning design was submitted by Haley Mann and is attached, congrats!
Carver's "Hoco-pocus" Homecoming dance is on Saturday, October 19 at 7 pm in the high school gym.
Our ticket design for Carver's Hoco-pocus themed Homecoming Dance was designed by Ari Hunter! The senior homecoming court will be announced next week!

On Friday October 11, 2019, Mr. Tresca travelled with members of Student Council to attend a leadership conference at the College of Holy Cross to "Cook Up" some leadership by attending workshops to share ways that schools support and encourage meaningful inclusion. the following student council officers were in attendance:
Morgan Campbell, Olivia Camelo, Mya LaBrecque, Quinton Kittredge and Jamie Robinson.

The Caring Crusaders are looking for new members to join the club! They are a student-led group who strive to end underage drinking. They work as a team to spread awareness on the dangers of substance abuse and addiction throughout the Carver schools and community. If you are interested in joining, please see your High School Counselor.

The Unified Soccer team is getting ready for their big Jamboree next Tuesday 10/22. The Game will be at Abington High School at 5pm if you would like to come support the team!
Dom Craig scored his 1,000 career wall soccer goal during Cardio Sport Class.

Counseling Corner
9th Grade: Mrs. McKenna and Mrs. Nolan will be meeting with 9th graders during their studies next Friday for a Freshman Survival Seminar. We will be sharing tips on how to make it from 9th grade to graduation.
10th and 11th Grade: Students who registered for the PSAT took it on Wednesday the 16th. This exam helped to prepare them for the SAT and they can use their results for personalized SAT practice through Khan Academy.
12th Grade: Many students have been meeting with their counselor to make post secondary plans, such an exciting time of year!
On Tuesday, October 15th the 6th grade class kicked off the first fundraiser - Boon Supply - to help with the cost of the Camp Bournedale trip. Forty (40%) percent of each student's total sales will be deducted from the price of the trip, The fundraiser runs from 10/15/19 - 10/30/19.
