With so many different signing dates and our athletes committing throughout the year, we plan to recognize all of our athletes that commit to playing college at the same time in the Spring.

Class of 2022, it is a graduation requirement to complete 8 hours of community service.

2022 Senior Grad Night Party
Seniors it is time to sign up for your parent led, Grad Night Party! Look for parent volunteers in the Commons during all 3 lunches on January 24, 2022 near the Grad Night Posters to sign up and pay. The grad night party will be on Monday, June 13, 2022, immediately after graduation. Parents please join the GP Grad Night 2022 Facebook page or fill out this document to receive the updates via email, you don’t want to miss any important details! Financial Aid Information and Filing Events
If you would like help completing the FAFSA or WASFA, please consider attending a virtual filing event. The 12th Year Campaign are hosting statewide virtual financial aid completion events and would love to help you answer your questions! The 2022-23 FAFSA opens on October 1, filing events are scheduled on Wednesday evenings October through December. Please see this spreadsheet for registration information and exact dates and times.
The Coolidge Scholarship - Closes Tonight!
Juniors! The Coolidge Scholarship is now open! The 2022 Coolidge Scholarship application is live and accepting applications. The application deadline is now less than two months away -- January 19, 2022 at 5:00 PM Eastern time. The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that may be used by recipients for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any current high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2023 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Seniors Attending EvCC 2022-23 School Year
The EvCC Foundation Scholarship Application for the 2022-2023 school year is now open and runs through March 10, 2022!
The EvCC Foundation offers over 85 annual and endowed scholarships for students attending EvCC. EvCC Foundation Scholarships can be used to help cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, and supplies while attending EvCC. The Washington Opportunity Scholarship is Now Open!
Baccalaureate Scholarship
The Washington Opportunity Baccalaureate scholarship provides up to $22,500 in financial aid support and access to career-launching support services for students pursuing high-demand STEM and health care majors. This scholarship can be used to cover tuition, fees and other indirect costs of attendance such as housing, transportation, food and more. Funding can be used for any eligible STEM or health care degree at any eligible public or private college or university in Washington state.
- Eligibility Requirements: students must demonstrate financial need, intend on attending a Washington four-year institution fall of 2022, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75, and pursuing an eligible science, technology, engineering, math or health care major
- Application deadline: March 2, 2022

ASVAB test opportunity Sophomore-Seniors February 15
Students interested in taking the ASVAB test please sign up here. The ASVAB can be used to meet a graduation pathway, military recruitment, and as a career exploration tool. Sophomores are not eligible to use it for recruitment purposes, but may take the test. The test will be held in the Career Center on February 15 at 8 a.m. For more information on the ASVAB please see this parent handout or this booklet. Students that take the test will have the option of having their results interpreted on March 14. Please see Kari Winckler in the College and Career Center with any questions.
Bank of America Student Leaders
The Bank of America Student Leader Program is now accepting applications from current junior or seniors. Students can apply for the program by going to bankofamerica.com/studentleaders. The deadline for the Student Leader application is January 28, 2022.

Semester 2 Schedule Changes
Semester 2 schedule changes will open up on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Students interested in requesting a schedule change for second semester due to course openings must complete the following steps:
1. Review the posted courses available by period here, courses with openings will be posted on January 18, 2022 on the Glacier Peak Counseling website, outside the counseling office and main office.
2. Identify the course you wish to drop and the course you are interested in adding. Only posted courses with space available will be considered.
3. Fill out this form and submit it NO LATER than 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
4. If you have more than one class change request, please submit another form.
5. Counselors will review changes on Friday, January 21, 2022. If there are more requests than we have spots for, we will do a lottery. This is not first-come-first serve.
6. Every student who submitted a form will be notified by their counselor by the end of the school day on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Worksite Learning - Credit Opportunity
Attention Juniors and Seniors! Did you know if you have a job outside of school, you may have the opportunity to earn high school credit? Worksite learning is an amazing opportunity for students 16 years or older to earn up to 1 full credit (CTE or Elective). If you are interested, please see Ms. Dooley in room 204 or your counselor. Applications are available outside room 204 and in the career center and can be returned to either location.

BSU (Black Student Union) Club is starting back up on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Mrs. Veach's classroom, 312. BSU hopes to create cultural unity and provide a safe space for students to talk about things that impact their lives especially as it pertains to race, culture, inclusion, and diversity. BSU does not discriminate with who can participate and engage in these conversations. All students are invited.

FFA-Vet Science Club is available to students in Animal or Advanced Animal Biology for active membership. Other students not enrolled in those courses may attend meetings but may not become active members. This club focuses on veterinary medicine and the multiple FFA Vet science competitions that lead up to the State Competition at WSU. Meeting Thursdays, 2:20 in room 108.

PM at the PEAK!
What is PM at the Peak? An opportunity for students to get specific support in their classes. It is not simply a ‘study hall’. While students are welcome to use the time to study and work independently, it is designed to provide students an opportunity to ask for, and receive help on their homework, essays, projects, etc. There will be teachers and student tutors available, there is no formal process students need to complete to attend. It is open to anyone and everyone. All classroom Covid guidelines apply (masks and distancing). There is no transportation home offered at this time. Mondays and Wednesdays: 2:30-4 p.m. Where: Room 204
